Hello All!

Welcome family and friends to my new triathlon training blog. I plan to post at least once a week highlights from my week in training plus race results.

To give you a little history on my training, I started last year training myself using Joe Friel's Triathlon Training Bible. I completed three sprint distance races and finished my season with the Tugaloo Olympic distance race. The season was tough but I was determined to stick with my self-made training plans which required training 6 days a week in swimming, biking, and running along with two days of weight training. The season went well but this year I realized before I began making my training plans that I didn't know what to do to train myself better this year. That was when I turned to the Atlanta Triathlon Club.

The club consists of over twenty coaches splint into groups specializing in a particular area of triathlon. Each week the club holds practices three days a week in the off season and six days a week in the regular season. I have been training with them for three weeks now and I can already see that training with a group and with coaches has improved me more than I could have if I had coached myself.

So hears to a new season and new goals. If this and further posts interest you please consider supporting me by sponsoring my season. The sport of triathlon can be expensive with gear and pricey races to pay for. Anything you can contribute with be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much and I hope you keep reading!
