I am a commercial interior designer by day and triathlete by night & weekend. Growing up I wasn't the athletic type. I was on the neighborhood swim team one month of the year but other than that I was the band nerd not the jock. Not until I finished college and started working that I realized that all that sitting all day made the pounds creep on. My clothes started to not fit and I freaked! I would do all I could do to stay fit and thin(ish). That is when I joined a gym and began working out 3-4 times a week. I wasn't exactly religious about it and I began looking for a way to be more consistent. Right after I got married four years after finishing college I had a thought one day. Why don't I do a triathlon? I would have to have a plan and stick to it to reach my goal. The rest is history.
